The statue of the Saint, dating back to the second half of the 1600s and to which the parish was dedicated until the 1940s, was once kept in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, which until then had been the seat of that parish. It was transferred to the church of the Body of Christ at the beginning of the 1960s. It was probably located even before that in the ancient church in Via Pistiello, which no longer exists.
