The origin of the altar is 1873 as indicated by the writing at its base (A DIV~NE DI ROSA VIDUA DI FER~DO ASCHETTINO - 1873). It was once headed by the painting of the Annunciation which also had an elaborate 17th century frame. The painting was removed from the cultural heritage for restoration in the 1980s and was returned to the parish only in the early 2000s and was placed to the left of the main altar of the same church while the frame was never found. In its place on the altar was placed the sculpted wooden statue of the Madonna della CARita'. The marble altar was restored in 2016. Catalogued by the Cultural Heritage at # 1500047426
