The altar as it was built in the 1960s and renovated around 2016-17. Originally it only had the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but in the 1960s the Parish Priest at the time added to its sides the statue of San Bartolomeo (transferred from the church of the Immaculate Conception to the Croce district) and that of San Gaetano donated by the family of Mons Gaspare Dalia.
